Tonight's 15 sales are titled "Religious Artifacts #18".

The item(s) pictured are the exact item(s) you are offerding on. I have included a photo with a measuring tape so you can see the size.

I will not be offering a "Buy-it-Now" option and there is price. The sale will proceed to its conclusion.

Specifics:

The wax and thread are completely intact (pictured). The sale includes the relic and the paperwork (COA = Certificate of Authenticity).

Either the relic came wrapped in the paperwork or I am fairly positive that I matched the correct paperwork (from an envelope full of COAs) with the correct relic. Either way, I have a high degree of confidence that the correct relic is matched with the correct paperwork.

Condition:

The relic is as pictured. The crystal is completely intact.

Where do these religious artifacts come from?:

My Great-Uncle George was a Catholic Priest in Chicago from 1923 (ordained) until his death in 1951. He traveled extensively throughout the world on behalf of the Church, had multiple audiences with the Pope and was pastor of Saint Peter and Paul Church on the south side of Chicago. He left an incredible assortment of religious and non-religious artifacts to his brother, my Grandfather, who stored them in a very large closet where they sat until recently. All of the items that contain this paragraph as part of the listing are obviously older than 1951.

It is now my responsibility to sale these items on .

They are in the exact condition as they were when they were removed from the storage box.

I will do my best to accurately describe each item and answer questions although I am not an expert on antique religious artifacts.

Shipping/Handling Fees:

USA Destinations

A flat rate of $7 S&H fee applies to this item. Additional items will incur a charge of $4 per item. Depending on the size/weight, I may use USPS First Class, Priority or UPS Ground for shipping.

International Destinations

A flat rate of $15 S&H fee applies to this item. Additional items will incur a charge of $7 per item. Depending on the size/weight, I may use USPS First Class International or USPS Priority International. I am not responsible for VAT or for any national laws that require the package be opened and inspected before you receive them.

Above fees assume items won within a single night's sale and a single payment. Multiple items will likely ship in a single box.

Additional Note:

Occasionally winning buyers will disappear and never pay for the item they have won during an sale. From now on I will list those unpaid items, at the winning offer price, as a Fixed-Price-Listing (Buy-It-Now) for 30 days after the cancellation of the original sale. It normally takes about 8-10 days after the original sale’s end to formally cancel the sale. These items will appear in a list of “Seller’s current items”. These listings will be identical to the original listings except they will not be an sale and will last for 30 days (vs. a standard 7-day sale). There will be no particular day or time of the day when these items will appear. The “Fixed-Price Listing” will exist until someone buys the item or 30 days have passed.

Note: Due to dwindling inventory, this will be the final year of these "house" sales. By the end of 2013 my assignment will be complete and everything will be gone. As a result, the weekly sales will become more sporadic (often skipping weeks or even multiple weeks.) Also, the quantity of items within each sale night will probably be less than before.

I prefer Paypal.  If it is necessary to use another form of payment, please contact me before offerding so that we can reach an agreement.

I expect either payment or an email explaining the delay within 4 days of the end of the sale.  After 4 days, if I have not received communication, the computer will automatically open an unpaid-buyer case.

I will use a combination of USPS First-Class, USPS Priority and USPS Priority Flat-Rate depending on size/weight and destination.  At times, I may also use UPS.  If the winning offer (or box for multiple items) is over $100 I will be providing insurance.

I use only new boxes and if the item is breakable it will be wrapped in bubblewrap and then placed in a bed of peanuts. 

If an item does arrive damaged, please contact me and save the item and shipping container.

I will accept returns within 14 days. Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs.

I'm part of a process to clean out a very large house that my family has lived in since the 1940s.   My responsibilities are conducting the sales.

Also, if you are going to throw me a curveball I ask that you let me know ahead of time so that we can discuss it.  offerding from Phoenix and then asking me to ship it to Bangladesh is a curveball.  I expect offers locations and shipping locations to match.  Please let me know if this is not the case before offerding so that we can discuss it.  Also, if you won't be paying for a while, please let me know.
