For sale Nice Old Rev. War Naval Artillery Short Broad Sword, Double edged 25-1/4 " blade, 7 " groove with engraved German maker J J Runkel Sohlingen ( right spelling as on blade ), edge has Very Very tiny nicks & age pattina but Very healthy, ( may be shortened Broadsword blade but no evidence of shortening ) brass hilt had 1 branch removed or broke off long long ago, hints of gilt, fine fishskin 1 piece grip never had wire, original peening. Comes with original leather scabbard although fragile, seam opening, some tears, missing brass throat piece but has toe piece. Sword 30 " overall length out of scabbard. These were Very popular with naval-seaman-pirates-sailors of the period thru the U.S. Civil War ( by both sides ). Absolutely No offers Accepted From Zero response buyers, Sorry.
