Frank Schlueter wasone of the number of itinerant photographers based in Houston during the period of rapid development before and after the First World War.His work documented many of the important developments in Houston in the early decades of the 20th Century including the Ship Channel expansion, the opening of Rice University, the oil industry and the land development in the area. This is one of several images of this important agricultural operation near Houston which featured a large presence of Asian farmers -- note "Mr Onishi on horseback.
