Werke und DokumentePrestel-Verlag, Munchen, 1982SoftcoverText in German546 pages with a great many illustrations of works in black and white and colour.Approximately 21 cm x 23.5A fabulous and extremely scarce monograph on this hugely influential designer, whose elegent and functional forms forged a bridge between the Arts and Crafts period and the Modern Movement. Published to accompany an important retrospective exhibition held in Munich in 1982, it illustrates Riemerschmid's career in very great detail. There are separate sections covering his painting and graphic design (including typography), interior design and furniture, small furnishings (clocks, mirrors and other objects), lighting, metalware, ceramics, textile design and carpets and architecture. In all, a fascinating and invaluable resource for collectors and dealers that documents a great number of pieces in all media. The interior design and furniture section alone runs for over 160 pages. Each item featured is accompanied by detailed notes, including comments about variations of designs and bibliographic references.Condition: The book is in excellent used condition. Internally it is extremely crisp, clean and bright with minimal signs of use. There's a little wear to the corners of the card wraps.

Condition of items
Please note that, unless clearly stated otherwise, my listings are for vintage/antique items and therefore, by definition, are not going to be in the same condition you would expect from a brand new item. Please be assured that I always endeavour to offer the most accurate description possible of the item's condition and take multiple illustrative photographs.
Vintage electrical items
Unless clearly stated otherwise in the description, vintage electrical items are sold in their original condition so should be safety checked by an electrician before use.
Returns are possible, if reported within 7 days and by prior arrangement, if a mistake has been made in the listing and the item is significantly not as described, but for no other reason. I'm afraid that straightforward buyer's remorse does not qualify and the cost of return postage is not included in any refund.
