Risograph Separator Pad, Feed Pad, Friction/scraper Pad:
Risograph Separator Pad, Scraper Pad, Feeder Pad, Friction Pad, Riso Pad - however you call it. The feed roller pushes against this pad to feed paper into your digital duplicator. This item wears out and causes several different kinds of misfeeds. You can change it easily by yourself or you could call a technician and pay $70 per hour for them to change.
If your Riso is misfeeding - feeding 2-3 sheets at a time, not feeding paper at all; it is probably this tiny seperator pad that is the culprit. If you still have feed problems after replacing then we suggest you change the feed tires as well. You can tell a bad tire if you look at the ridges and they are well rounded instead of more pointed. We have many of these aftermarketreplacement for part #019-1833-006and it is good to purchase an extra just in case. If you feel a feed roller size divit in your present pad then it is bad. Pad measurements are 1-5/16 wide x 5/8" tall x 1/8" thick (or 33 mm x 16 mm x 3 mm). If your pad measures the same this replacement pad should work just fine on your duplicator. This pad is different color from original pad - does the same job or better some have said.
Will work on these Riso models:
EZ220, EZ390, GR3750, GR3770, FR2950, FR3950, RP3100, RP3500, RP3700, RP3790, RZ220, RZ390, RZ2590, RZ2970, MZ790, MZ990
If your pad is 1.5 mm (1/16th") thick (rather then 4 mm) and measures larger than this pad (more like 34 mm x 28 mm) the books say this is the replacement, but you will need to replace the plastic base that it sits on. The pad listed in this ad will not work, with the older style base . Thisthin scaper padwith adhesive for older machines, is available at $14.99 same shipping. Overall size is 1 5/16" x 1 1/8" x 1/16" thick (34mm x 28mm x 1.5mm thick).
Help in removing or inspecting the scraper pad: looking at your feed roller assembly - look to the right along the steel bar to find a black plastic C clamp. Pull the tab to remove the C clamp and place it on the floor or anywhere that is not going to end up lost in the duplicator. Slide the entire bar with wheels to the right slightly and remove the left side. (If you do not have the steel bar simply remove the black palstic C clip that holds the forward feed wheel in place). When removing the bar take care not to loose the gold metal ring on the right end this holds the bar in center position.
The scraper pad is attached to a small plastic head on the assembly below feed wheels. This head comes off using your fingers to pry forward then backward to release the tabs underneath. If you need to use something to pry at one edge take care not to damage the plastic body.
When you have the plastic body in hand slide the metal face to one side and remove the old scraper pad. Clean any dust with towel and/or alcohol. Replace with new pad then do all steps in reverse. The gold ring has flat panel that faces forward and only goes back in 1 way to hold feed wheel assembly centered in place. Replace plastic C clip/s.
