Robert Kondo Pixar Art Director Original Watercolor Signed New Animated Short For Sale

Original Concept Art for new animated film by Robert Kondo and Dice Tsutsumi

This is a watercolor exploration of the main character in Robert's new animated short film. This piece is titled Poppa Pig. He drew several sketches to explore different looks for the characters. This short animated film, which he is creating with his fellow Pixar Art Director, Dice Tsutsumi, is about finding an unlikely hero in an unlikely place. They are in pre-production right now and hope to release the film in the summer. We'll be selling the sketches that Robert and Dice create for the film each week on , so please check back for more in the coming weeks. Proceeds will be used to fund the film.

Bio: Robert Kondo is an Art Director at Pixar who has worked on Academy Award winning films such as Ratatouille and Toy Story 3. He's currently working on Pixar's 2013 release of Monsters University.
Robert Kondo was born and raised in southern California, he graduated from the Art Center College of Design in 2002 with a portfolio of illustrations. His first job was with Oblique Strategies as a sketch artist working on film posters. He went on to work at Angel Studios for three months before moving to the bay area to work at Pixar Animation Studios.
