A chromolithograph circa 1920’s titled, 872 Solitude by Robert Wesley Amick (1879 –1969). In calm tones of blues, yellows and greens—a Native American Indian sitting on the water in a birch bark canoe. His oar is sitting on his lap and he is staring out onto the shoreline. A thick row of trees are behind him and to the right side of the print there are mountains in the distance. A reflection of the trees and the mountains on the water creates a calm and serene scene.
