Rock-ola Rockola 1446 Jukebox:
Here's a nice 1446 I pulled from a home. It has the nicest original grill, green pilasters, and upper diffuser that I have ever seen. Original painted finsih is decent, but has plenty of scrapes and scratches to be expected on a machine this old. The machine is on free play and is missing the slug ejector and the coin return cable. Both "pinkish" side mech covers have broken in two, but have been repaired nicely. Dress cap has the usual cracks by the screw holes, but looks really nice otherwise. Record basket number decals are gone and the rubber around the basket needs replacing. Machine cycles smoothly, although I did not get any sound and the pinbank will need cleaning. Back door is present, just removed for the photos. I do not have a key. Email with any questions you may have before the last day of the sale. Payment due 10 days after end of sale. Possible delivery to Chicago in November, but I cannot promise. I cannot ship this item, but I will work with the shipper of your choice. I can strap to a pallet for free, or crate for overseas shipment for an additional $300. In home inspection welcome. Good luck offerding! On May-20-13 at 17:48:30 PDT, seller added the following information:
The grill is nice with no visible dents. The pilasters are swirly green with no cracks. The finish is original, but there are plenty of scratches and the door has lots of wear showing the base color under the grain pattern. I personally would refinish this cabinet. The coin instruction inserts are gone, but I have repros that go with the machine. Thanks for the interest. On May-21-13 at 16:04:50 PDT, seller added the following information:
At the request of a buyer, I pulled the amp to check the output transformer. To my surprise, the amp looks to have been recently rebuilt - very new looking caps and solder joints. Anyway, I checked the tubes and noticed a jumper on the side of the amp was missing -when auxilliary speakers and volume controls where used on location, a small jumper was removed.Ireplacedthe jumper, and got great sound! Loud and clear. Volume control works fine with no crackling. The cart looks to be a new P-51. I included aphoto of a record playing and also a small crack in the upper light diffuser. The diffuser still looks great - better than any I've seen in the past. The titledrum works nicely and the machine does select and play fine from the keyboard. The only problem is that the pinbank is dirty, and some selections will not start the machine scanning. This is a common problem with this vintage Rockola - the pinbank needs cleaning. I would replace the power cord as well. Thanks for the interest.
