Please note:

First of all I like to wirte you as I`m a seriously german Luftwaffe collector since many years. The Me 163 panel here in was is in my collection since many years right now. I sale it out because I would minimize my own collection now.All my german aircraft original gauges I collected over many years from all over the world. I start it about15 years ago with my great Passion for this history stuff.

Some Me 163 B aircraft gauges I find in french, germany and in US as well all over this many years .... It was very hard to get them in this great esthetic Quality ....some of them was only produced for the Me 163 B fighter in 1943/44 !! The wooden panel I get some years ago in a jumble sale market in Munich germany. ...only one guages was still left in.......I cant say if it is a 100 % original one.. .It looks new right now for me...I over paint it after it was almost plankas it was sold at this time. But the former german Luftwaffe never marks there wooden aircraft panels at the wartime with any stamp or something else....! Only there Aluminium and metal aircraft panel`s was often markt with stamps, put not the wooden one`s. The Me 163 B panel`s was allways made by Wood in 1943/44.

Anyway it is a very unique stuff, and looks great, you will love it.....

The gauges are all 100 % orignal stuff and some of them was juset only in the Messerschmitt Me 163 B like the - (vertical Speed inticator Variometer, Tachometer for the rocket engine)

The Messerschmitt Me 163 Komet, designed by Alexander Lippisch, was a German rocket powered fighter aircraft. It is the only rocket-powered fighter aircraft ever to have been operational. Its design was revolutionary, and the Me 163 was capable of performance unrivaled at the time. German test pilot Heini Dittmar in early July 1944 reached 1,130 km/h (700 mph), not broken in terms of absolute speed until November 1947. Over 300 aircraft were built; the Komet proved ineffective as a fighter, having been responsible for the destruction of only about nine Alliedaircraft.

The German Me 163, a rocket-powered defensive fighter, was one of the most unusual aircraft of World War II. Fortunately, its potential impact was minimized by technical problems and the small number produced. The Me 163 was the end result of a long line of tailless research aircraft designed by Dr. Alexander Lippisch. The first Me 163A prototypes were tested in 1941, but powered flight testing of the more advanced Me 163B was delayed until August 1943 due to engine and fuel problems. Although the Komet\'s rocket engine gave it a exceptional climb rate, range was severely limited by its high fuel consumption. Furthermore, the fuels used were extremely hazardous and sometimes exploded without warning, killing a number of pilots. Production Me 163Bs were not ready for operational use until July 1944. The Luftwaffe planned to have small units of Komets dispersed to intercept Allied bomber formations, but only 279 Me 163Bs were delivered by the end of the war. The sole operational Komet group, JG 400, scored nine kills while losing 14 of its own aircraft.
