Romantic Antique Handmade Tambour Lace Bridal Wedding Veil Circa 19th Century For Sale
Romantic Antique Handmade Tambour Lace Bridal Wedding Veil Circa 19th Century
For your special day, a romantic antique, handmade Tambour lace bridal veil featuring a delicate floral and Swiss dot motif, with a lovely scalloped, finely detailed edging. The veil has a wax flower headpiece attached that can be easily removed if desired as it is merely tacked to the veil. Not sure of how it was originally intended to be worn, but I had a bit of fun with a sort of 20s look in my placement? Hand embroidered on silky lace net of a soft white hue, it's in excellent condition, has a wonderful soft hand and a luxuriously full drape. There may be the odd tiny pinhole I've missed, but I can't find any flaws. This beautiful veil measures 30" in length and 108" wide. It is a sort of semi-circle in shape. Veils such as this are becoming a rarity, and are truly family heirloom worthy. This pieces pairs beautifully, both in color & style, with the Victorian Lace bridal skirt I have concurrently listed ;)
