Roosevelt Uncle Sam Panama Canal Vs Deep Waterway Post Card 1907 For Sale

Up for sale is an unusual post card depicting President Roosevelt and Uncle Sam viewing two paintings. One is a painting of the Panama Canal and the other is the Deep Waterway project. Uncle Sam is telling President Roosevelt to not to give all of his attention to the Panama Canal which was created by Balboa when there is another project (painting) Deep Waterway just as valuable by an American artist (note; Landscape painted by Uncle Sam) alongside.

This post card was made by Adolph Selige Pub Co. Saint Louis MO. and the artist was Jonnell and this is a Globe Democrat piece of art dated 4-20-07. The condition is pretty good considering the age of this piece. It does have some creases on the bent corners and there is some fading/foxing/staining as you can see in the pictures. Also there is some writing (in light pencil writing) on the back side. I could have erased it but I didn't how that would affect the card. I’m leaving that for the next owner to decide. The card measures 5 1/2 inches long and 3 1/2 inches wide. I believe this is a rare card and would make a great addition to any Uncle Sam, President Roosevelt or post card collection.
