Roseville Pottery 1930s Baneda Green Blue Arts and Crafts Console Bowl #234 Hex:
$299.99
Up for sale is this very nice Roseville piece. This is the scarce, Arts & Crafts Style, green with blue color glazing, Baneda design. A leafy vines and pumpkin-like fruits with flowers, etc. kind of design. The pink Art Deco Style is more commonly seen with Baneda. This would have been made in the early 1930\'s--Baneda was first offered in 1932. Roseville\'s middle-period had some very good designs such as this, and are quite popular with collectors. The glaze on this is almost, \"Impressionist,\" that is the feel of it--please see all of the pictures. Green with a sort-of drippy blue. It is hexagonal (6-sided) and is the larger Console Bowl in the Baneda Pattern/Decoration. Very desirable!! Measures, at the top, 11\" Wide x 7 3/8\" Deep (Front-to-Back) x 3\" High. Very light usual crazing--I had to use my loupe to see it, so a very nice piece. In addition to the several, various markings and the Roseville silver foil label on the bottom, it does appear to be signed, perhaps, by the Decorator/Finisher. Please see the 11th photo, the second-to-last photo. I cannot make this out, myself. NO rust stains inside the pot, as you can see in the pictures--quite of few of the Baneda pieces have rust stains on the inside. I have seen several Jardinerres, for example, with this staining. Please see the last picture for a very small, minor spot on the edge of the handle--Not a chip, but a very small spot with the glaze. I am only mentioning this for accuracy. I did not even see it until some time after I had this and looked all-over the pot, very carefully, while preparing to list it on . So no chips, cracks or repairs, all-original and EXCELLENT/NEAR-MINT condition! This is a great piece of Arts and Crafts Roseville Pottery, and I am very pleased to offer it here. UNITED STATES BUYERS ONLY,PLEASE. THANK YOU for looking.
