Gorgerous, extremely rare square plate in the beautiful fluted plain design decoration. This plate is only made for the market in Japan and can only be purchased in stores there. It can\'t even be purchased in Copenhagen, Denmark so this shape is rare and sought after.
Measuring 8\" (20,5cm) it is a perfect size for sushi or any appetizer - we use them as dinner plates also or serving platters. This plate just has a great shape with many uses.
I picked this plate out myself. I prefer the darker blue paint.The blue decoration pattern is neat and crisp and the blue is the dark color, most sought after in my opinion - the decorations varies from artist to artist: some has a lighter hand, where the lines and flowers are fainter, this has the sharp, crisp and darker decorations.
This plate is brand new, never used, no chips, no utensil wear. The rear side of the plate has the Royal Copenhagen stamp. The three waves has a faint line thru them, that can be felt with a nail- normally signifying second factory quality, however. I am unable to find any faults with the plate and typically the mark thru the three waves are a much heavier scratch digged in further. Model number is 720 and the artist mark are initials VBX
