Royal Doulton - 1936 - Hn 1693 - Virginia - 7.5" Figurine - Nr:
Tonight I'm happy to offer, from a recently purchased estate, Royal Doulton, Mid 1930's - "Virginia" - 7.5" Figurine.
1936 Date Mark - VERY RARE!
HN1693 - L. Harradine - EXCELLENT CONDITION! - !
This graceful and elegant figurine is in excellent condition, there is a very faint and and very slight crazing on the underside of the skirt, this is minor and does nit detract, I only mention it to be accurate in the listing.
Designed as a 7.5" figurine of a young lady in a shaded yellow and red frock and veil holding her hair ribbons. The figurine is in excellent condition with no damage, repairs or restorations, only the above mentioned faint crazing.
The figurine was designed by Leslie Harradine and in production from 1935 to 1949.
I would safely guess that the figurine dates from the mid 1930's.The figurine is marked on the bottom with the familiar Royal Doulton mark, Made in England, HN1693, name of the figurine "Virginia" and a small number 9 which dates the figurine to 1936.
Royal Doulton has always been known for fine quality porcelains and this delightful and enchanting example will not disappoint even the most discerning collector.
As I usually do I'm offering this item at a LOW opening with .
