Royal Doulton Character Jug 'ard Of 'earing Miniature 2-1/2" D6594 Hard Hearing For Sale
This listing features an extremely scarce Royal Doulton Character Jug entitled 'Ard of 'Earing. Produced only between 1964 and 1967, this is the rare miniature (2-1/2 inch tall) size, D6594.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips, damage, crazing, cracks or repairs. There are some faint black lines on the inside of the jug that are underneath the glaze (as shown in the last photo), as well as a small spot on the top of the hat in the back underneath the glaze where a bit of purple paint was missed (also shown in the last photo). These classic early Royal Doulton pieces were all made and painted by hand, and so no two are exactly alike (which is what makes them so special!)
