A genuine Russian Soviet men'smilitary Commanders wristwatch made by the Vostok (Boctok) watch factory in the 1980's. Vostok means East in Russian. It has a revolving bezel and a screw-down crown.The watch is in very good working condition and very good visual condition, NOS New Old Stock condition (please see photos for visual condition). It is a mechanical wind-upwatch, is working very well and keeps very good time. Under the 12 is the word Commander written in Russian, 'Komandirskie'.Below the 6 in tiny letters isCДЕЛAHO В CCCPin english this means 'Made In The USSR'. Winding the Watch, mechanism is similar to a Rolex Submariner.
Unscrew the winding head counter-clockwise from the case. This puts the winding head in position 2. Then wind clockwise by turning the winding head about 16 to 20 revolutions. When done, screw the winding head into position 1.
Setting the TimeUnscrew the winding head and pull it out to position 3. You will hear and feel a click. Turn the winding head clockwise to set the correct time. After setting the time, screw the winding head into position 1.
