Q. What Heat Can be USED?
A. High Heat Resistant to 140C - higher is possible if hair is damp first
Kanekalon is the most natural looking, most human like synthetic hair out there! Kankalon enables you to re-style and change your look effortlessly. Curl, flat iron, and re-style again and again. The high heat resistance technology can safely handle temperatures up to 160 degrees. (Please see our Synthetic Curling & Straightening Instructions) Or contact us for assistance as not the same procedure as for human hair.
Q. Can Hair be Styled (Straightened & Curled)
A. Hair is heat resistant up to 140C if your straightners are higher ie. GHD\'s then you can still use but case turning on and off to keep heat low-medium - you n do not need very high heat to straighten just low-medium and straightening slowly. If you dampen (not soak) the hair before straightening a slightly higher heat can be used as hair will be protected by water). For curling you need heat along all hair strands so to ensure all hairs exposed to same heat you can use tongs or straighteners however I recommend using cheap sponge rollers (you can get in places like boots) and boiling water - its quick and works really good: The number and the size of your sponge rollers depends on the size and volume of curls you desire. Step 1: Part hair into small segments and roll with sponge rollers. Don\'t try to fit large chunks of hair onto the sponge rollers unless you want very large, loose curls. The less hair that is on the individual roller, the more bounce and precise the curl will be. You can decide how far up you roll ie. all the way up to the top or part way depending on where you want curl to stop.
Step 2: Bring a large saucepan of water to a low boil,
Step 3: Dip the sponge rollers into the hot water for 3 seconds, and immediately remove them and place them on the towel. The rollers are going to be hot and soaking wet, so have a big towel ready.
Step 4: Quickly remove the rollers - if its left too long you can set the curls too hard, leaving a mark where the closure snaps in place if you don\'t remove the rollers quickly. If you do one weft piece at a time and remove as soon as out of water (you can use tongs to drop in and get out water) you will be fine. Let the hair air dry, and soon you will have soft, bouncy curls. Q. Can Hair be Washed
A. Yes, Easy to wash and care:
1. Add a little amount of a mild shampoo in cold water (if it has picked up smoke or other odour add a teaspoon of baking soda when washing).
2. Gently shake the extensions in water.
3. Rinse thoroughly in cold water
4. Shake out excessive water and towel to absorb moisture
5. Natural dry flat (for straight) or Hang (for curly) until completely dry (avoid direct sun light), then brush if required.
