TIN LITHOGRAPH BATTERY OPERATED SPACE PATROL XX-01 CAR ORIGINAL BOX AOSHIN JAPAN

This sale is for an extremely stylized vintage tin battery operated and highly lithographed mystery action Space Patrol XX-01 made by Aoshin in Japan with the original box! This car looks like it rolled straight out of a horror movie and collided with the Bat Mobile the result is this fine beauty. The orange dome also gives this space toy a bug like look that is awesome. The car has the look of a 1950’s 2 door sports car with canted fins and Buick grille, original wheels and with chrome plated hubcaps. It has a rear mounted engine with polished tin trunk scoop and red transparent “valves” with a quadruple exhaust! The front features a multi-faceted “eye” look with polished tin head lights, brilliant orange twin oval ribbed domes, vertical multi-colored and fading litho with a spring loaded hood mounted gun with a great replacement falcon rocket that shoots out, flashing lights, and a loud “jet engine noise”. Thereare rubs on the headlights, front of hood rubs and white unknown substance on the undercarriage. The battery compartment is very clean, no cracks in the orange or red dome/engine. All wheels and mystery wheels are very clean!

This toy was tested on 12/24/2012 and WORKS great complete with stellar mystery action, lighted orange domes and red engine combined with the loud noise! The toy is missing the two antennas that extend from the dome but could be easily replaced.

The box for this awesome space toy has full color illustration showing the Space Patrol at the base of a lunar mountain while launching the falcon gun. Added detail in the moon, rockets, stars, and more make this box look great on the shelf! The box has creases and rubbing as shown, lower right front corner has the most rubbing. Puncture on the “OS” in the lower left corner of Aoshin, puncture top left of the fin and general wear from age. The box side aprons extend all the way down the side of the box and are all illustrated with themes of this toy. But do not let this fool you, the box is hard to find and adds to the value and overall display-ability of this futuristic space toy!
