VINTAGEUsed, Republic Tool Company Dodge Hemi Challenger 4-on-the-Floor Funny Car Drag Strip set from the late '60s or very early '70s. These were promotional sets given out by Dodge dealers. The scale is slightly smaller than 1/32, with the cars measuring about 5" long. It comes with two Dodge Challengers and the cars, Bodies are Nice,have no cracks1 runs great the other a little stickyrunning motors when tested on the transformer.One of the rear tires on the Red car has bent tire, will have to be replaced to run.
The setcomes with all12 pieces of straight track, ( 1 with Yellow End TunnelStop ) with each piece being about1 foot long.All Trackhave allend tabs. End tunnelwinners flag is broken ( See Photo ), includes the steel ball that is used to drop start the cars in the center hole of the console. The9 volttransformer works. The set box has some tape residue on edges, some tears,and corners pulled apart ( See Photo ) NOTE; tested to run on track, and was not successful in getting it to Work -- didn't take the time to try to diagnoss the problem., could be simple. not sure. -- Set will be SOLD as NOT RUNNING. _ _ * Extra note, - Car Contacts are metal rods inside a plastic sleeve and move freely ( Up & Down ) to make contact w/ the track.
