Season's End Plate John Deere Life On The Farm Spoker D Tractor Charles Freitag:
This listing is for a classic farm collector plateby Charles Freitag entitled "Season's End" from the collection entitled "Life on the Farm" for the Danbury Mint. This limited edition, hand numbered, gold banded 8-inch plate
The scene on this plate depictslife on the farm at the Season's End. You'll see a John Deere tractor from days gone by parked in the woods. My father who spent 50 years farming says the slang term for this model is a Spoker D because of the unusual spoke flywheel. If you look closely, you'll also see a big buck peering over the fenceline among the trees. The combination of the John Deere tractor, blue sky and the vivid colors in thebackground is very attractive, and the attention to detail isnicely done. This plate would make a great gift or abeautiful addition to a collection.
