SENSATIONAL!! Antique CHINESE "9" EMPEROR Enameled EXPORT BRACELET
Offered here is a very OLD antique CHINESE Export bracelet from the QING DYNASTY.....marked "CHINA" on the back, and estimated to be circa late 1800's to very early 1900's.
This antique bracelet is a FABULOUS piece of CHINESE craftsmanship boasting "9" inter-connected Enameled panels. The raised ENAMELED panels depict the NINE EMPEROR GODS.....done in VIBRANT HUES of Sapphire Blue, Lt. and Dk. Turquoise Blue, Lt. and Dk. Amethyst Purple, Gold and Brown. The closure is a tongue and box clasp that closes with a solid click.....and it appears to be SILVER over Copper.
"The NINE EMPEROR GODS are the nine sons manifested by Father Emperor Zhou Yu Yua Jun. The NINE EMPEROR GODS are high-ranking STAR LORDS who preside over the movement of planets and coordinate mortal Life and Death issues."
The bracelet is a very old and BEAUTIFUL piece from days gone by......measuring approximately 7 inches in length when closed and 1 1/2 inches tall.
This SPLENDID antique bracelet is EXCEPTIONAL in detail......and it is in EXCELLENT vintage condition!! It was inspected carefully with magnification and only two small spots of enamel were missing!! There is some Silver loss.....mainly on the back and also on the raised faces of the Emperors, which is consistent with age. It would be a VALUABLE asset to any vintage Chinese jewelry collection.
