SET 6 HALLMARKED ENGLISH STERLING SILVER TEASPOONS – 5 ½ oz -1877
Rare Straight Set of 6-George William Adams-159 grams
Offered in this sale is a uniform Set of 6 London Fiddle Pattern Teaspoons made by George William Adams and hallmarked for London in 1877. The spoons exhibit the simple, unembellished style of the period, decorated with only a period engraved monogram.
A good, desirable and quite usable set, getting harder to find with uniform marks.

Overall they remain in very good condition for their age, with little tip wear a bright finish and minor tarnish. They feature a wonderful period engraved Old English monogram “M” (see photos as these can be tricky).
MARKS: The spoons are hallmarked on the reverse as follows:
Makers Mark – “GA” in conjoined circles for George William Adams
Lion Passant – Sterling Standard
City Mark – Uncrowned Leopard’s Head for London
Date Letter- “B” for 1877
