The 'Wharton' was a limited edition bracket clock made by the world renowned craftsman at Seth Thomas! This is a key wind clock and the key is included.

The clockfeaturesan unusual, intricately detailed moon dial on it, just above the signed Seth Thomas silvered chapter ring and it also has brass applications on its square bracket case and a brass handle on crest.

The —German made— eight day movement is very clean and appears tohave beenserviced recently. The clock is working perfectly, it chimes —a relaxing, melodious tone— every 15 minutes on the 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, and on the hour, after which it strikes the appropriate hour and it is keeping time. The movement also features a locking lever that you can engage to shut off thechimesif you wish.

The clock is finely crafted from dark walnut and across, 5-3/4" deep and about 14" in height including the brass handle on the crest of the standard bracket clock case. The glass is in excellent condition there are no cracks or chips.We just picked this upfrom a local estate.

Becausethis is vintage, there are some imperfections. There is a small "Retirement Plaque" on the back topsection (see pic#6),the top left-hand side has ading (see pic #8), there are some knicks with outercoatingloss along the top right-hand side lower rail (see pic#9) andsome knicks with outercoatingloss along the front bottom lower rail (see pic#10),butnone of these take away from thepresentation qualityof thistrulybeautiful clock. We take a lot of —super sized— pictures so thatyou can judgethe overall condition.
