Seth Thomas Antique Mantle Clock Adamantine 100% All Original Looks& Runs Great:
This is an EXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL AS MINT AS THEY GET example of a Seth Thomas ADAMANTINE Mantle Clock in SUPERIOR 100% ALL ORIGINAL condition. This is truly a great clock super clean inside and out. The case is extremely beautiful with brown FAUX MARBLE ADAMANTINE (not painted) all around in absolutely perfect condition. (See pictures) This is very rare as usually this type of finish is all cracked with pieces missing. Even the corners are like new. It is a very classy mantle clock in need of a warm loving home. It was made circa1894. It has a SIGNED clean HEAVY DUTY "Seth Thomas Clock Co" 8-day time and strike movement which chimes on the half hour, and strikes the hour on a cathedral gong. It is a very strong runner with a wide pendulum swing – even with its original very heavy pendulum! (Makes timekeeping very accurate.) The movement runs very well and keeps good time. The Seth Thomas Clock Company was begun in 1810 by Seth Thomas Sr. and has been known for making high quality clocks. With this clock being one of the best models. The name Seth Thomas is synonymous with high quality and good taste. Not always the first on the scene with the latest movement "improvement" or flashy case style, Seth Thomas was slow to adopt changes and only when the marketplace had given it acceptance to other companys' breakthrough advances would Seth Thomas slowly and carefully bring their high quality clocks to the marketplace. The results, however, were always the same. When the Seth Thomas clock arrived it was an instant success and it captured the market. As the years have passed, the quality of Seth Thomas clocks has been proven over and over. They are the best! The case is very beautiful and perfect with its original finish! No dings, no holes, no scratches, VERY SHINY PERFECT! There is a glare on the finish from the flash (notice it moves from picture to picture). I doubt if the clock has been worked on very much as the screws and screw holes for the movement are tight, with no additional screw holes. The ORIGINAL SIGNED dial is in superior condition. Has a place to adjust the time for slow and fast using the included large double ended key. It has an adjustment for fast and slow on the dial which can be turned by the small end of the large heavy duty Seth Thomas key, this way you don’t need to take the clock down from its shelf to adjust it for slow and fast. This particular slow fast adjustment requires many turns to make a small difference – making it very accurate! The metal around the dial (solid brass) is perfect (no extra screw holes – no dents etc.). The back door is original and perfect – fits correctly with repair dates penciled in. The movement is signed with the Seth Thomas Trademark. Complete with the very heavy (makes the timekeeping very accurate) Seth thomas pendulum and a large Seth Thomas heavy duty double ended key – one end for winding the clock and one end for adjusting the time for slow and fast (the key works well). This clock looks and runs really great, just about like new!! Even retains its original pendulum rod holder originally used in shipping. The clock measures 10 inches high, 6 inches deep, and 10 inches wide. Again, this is an outstanding very beautiful clock!

I will gladly answer any emails promptly. I have always hated that "reserve" when I have offer myself so this fine clock has and a very very (gulp) low starting offer. We love these clocks and I will be glad to help you set up your new clock, or answer questions long after the sale via email. We are happy to accept payment in any form you wish.
We were at the NAWCC National clock convention at Dayton OH, in our vintage Airstream (with all the kitties!) This is a great convention! Then we’re planning on visiting Donna’s Sister and brother in law in Conway MO. Then we’re planning on taking a summer vacation camping in Colorado! It looks like we’ll probably not have much internet access during the trip with all the driving, convention activities, and camping in the National Forests. We’ll ship ASAP right after returning. We’ll begin shipping on Monday right after we get back. Altogether, we will be gone from June 29th through August 2nd . Sorry for the inconvenience.
