EXCELLENT CONDITION, RESTORED AND WORKING

The very first model of the Sheaffer Lifetime Balance pen, about 1929, in its oversize Senior model, in black celluloid Radite with gold filled trim. Long hump clip, short section, extra long barrel. This pen is a \'telephone dialer\', with a hard rubber screw-off taper at the end of the barrel.

Excellent condition with near perfect gold filled trim, minor wear, minor line from cap posting.

The nib is a Sheaffer Lifetime, fine and firm, nice and smooth and a pleasure to use. The nib and feed aresomewhat later than the 1929 pen. Note that the section is smooth and tapered, without the bump in the middle found in original short sections on these first year Balances. I have seen lots of these sections, and believe they were supplied by the Sheaffer repair department when a 1929 pen was sent in for servicing. These repair department sections are more comfortable than the originals, so this is a blessing both for the original user, and for us.

Restored and working with a functioningsac installed. Lengthisabout 5 3/4 inches. An impressive and hard to find pen.
