About Adi Sidler
Israeli born artist, Adi Sidler studied at the famed Bezalel Academy of Art in Jerusalem and graduated with honors. The Bezalel Academy was founded by Zionists in 1906 and developed a distinctive school of art which combines Zionist and Biblical subjects influenced by European, Persian and Syrian craftsmanship methods and art. The impact of such a dynamic combination of cultural styles lead the way to the development of a new fashion of Jewish art. Adi Sidler is just one of a few who flourished in such a learning Environment particularly in the field of metalwork and object design where he received several prestigious scholarships and honors.
Adi Sidler has since emerged as one of Israel’s most sought after Judaica artists. After finishing his studies, his focus was on making products for the home and office. His works are characterized by clean cut, minimal lines. This polished and sleek look is made with innovative industrial production methods like laser cutting and metal chip processing. Using anodized aluminum in his creations, he also incorporates other materials such as Lucite, wood, paper, rubber and more.
