Period. If this is an issue for you, please look elsewhere! We'll all be happier! And, of course, PLEASE remember that Payment, via Paypal ONLY, is due within 24 hours! OK Folks, now that we've gotten THAT out of the way, pay close attention, because someone is in for a real treat! Unlike many of these on and other websites, THIS Perfectly Operating Featherweight 221 was owned by the 'Better Half' of our business, as she is an avid sewing enthusiast (As well as a Quilter, Knitter, etc.). It was purchased locally about 5 years ago, from the Original Owner, and works as flawlessly now as it did then, and as when it was new. Since our afore-mentioned 'Better Half' purchased a much pricier 'Bernina' 2 years ago, this has seen little use, and it's time to pass it on. It will, of course, serve someone very well for DECADES to come! Now, after some investigation, it appears that there are a few different 'experts' (Including the Singer Company themselves) doing the 'dating' research on these. Some have it listed as late 1940/early 1941; while Singer has it at 1947. In any event, the Serial Number is: AG-980014. The Motor is a Simanco USA Model, Cat. # 3-110. The INCLUDED Owner's Manual, which the original owner sent away to Singer for (her original was lost), has a 1964 copyright, but appears to simply be a Singer 're-issue' of the original. ALSO included is a Spare Belt(!), which should come in handy in a few years, as the original has some signs of wear. The rest of the Accessories (Oil, Feet, Bobbins, Needles, etc.) can be seen in the Photos. And, YES, the Light Works, and the Case is Structurally Sound! As to cosmetics, though there are a few marks, and some paint areas have worn, we think this is excellent, considering it was actually Used & Loved, and didn't just 'sit on a shelf' somewhere to be 'looked at'. And, again, though the case has some cosmetic flaws, it is much better than most you'll see, with its structural integrity intact! And, some may think, we've saved the 'BEST' for last! FULLY Insured UPS Ground Shipping, WITHIN The Contiguous 48 States, IS FREE!! Now, what's not to like?! Thanks to all for your time and consideration!!
