These are six superbgothicoak woodencarvings with the scottish thistle, english roseand other central carvings ofwhich:
During our research we have been informed theydate from thegothic period of the19th century and are of church origin.
Weredisplayed in a church.
They actually came from a rood screen which was displayed towards the roof of the english church.
Each is carved in relief, therefore a one piece carving with the engish rose, scottish thistle and othercarvings.
Each hasan overall sizeof about 3.5 x 2.5inches.
Condition: Considering the age, the overall conditionisvery good with one hving a repairwith minor chipping to another.
All have two rough sides which were hidden in the main rood screen.
