The Southern Pacific 6 chime is regarded as one of the best sounding steam whistles ever made!Overall, the whistle is 23 inches long from the large hex on the built in valve to the top. The body of the brass bell is 6 1/2 inches in diameter. The brass bell is 15 inches long. The whistle weighs 61 pounds. The top of the bell is marked LB 9299. This whistle has 6 chambers. The height of the opening for each chamber is 2 1/16 inch. The chamber lengths above the openings are 5 1/4, 7, 8 1/2, 9 13/16, 11, and 12 1/8 inches. The valve is in excellent condition and moves freely. One of the fins appears to have been replaced by brazing another piece of brass in place and grinding off the weld seam (see pics). $80 flat rate shipping to the USA.
