SPECTACULAR 19TH CENTURY CHINESE CARVED FAUX IVORY CARD CASE

Description:
Spectacular 19th century Chinese faux ivory carving executed on all six sides of gorgeous card case. Both main sides sport typical images of scholars in their country retreat, and a garden scene in a rich house, with many characters, minutely depicted over a diapered ground. The four sides are decorated further with delicate carvings of flowers and scrolling leaves.
Excellent piece.

Condition:
Excellent condition, with just one small damage in one of the sides of the lid (illustrated). The overall condition is excellent, and very solid, and its handling and contemplation is guaranteed. Please, see the attached pictures for a full illustration of its condition.
