PLEASE READ COMPLETE DESCRIPTION AND VIEW ALL PHOTOS CLOSELY BEFORE offerDING:
Up for sale is a very largeRexall Drugs tin friction powered truck and tandem trailer set made by SSS Shioji Toys of Japan in the early 1950's. Truck tractor represents a bull nose 1953 GMC c.o.e. (cab over engine) truck.This25" long doubles set is extra cleanand ingood100% original condition with all parts intact. The attractive blue and orange finish has a brilliant shine but does show older play wear with some dings and scratches. Truck tractor friction motor runs well but does catch every now and then. Rubber tires are all good. Correct "con" gears and landing dolly areintact. Fragile separate tabbed license plates are still firmly attached. These early SSS truck and trailers are fitted with the very realistic polished one piece metal "Bud" style wheels with simulated lug nuts, rather than typical tin hubcaps.Polished bare metal trim on truck all shines brightly but there is some tarnish and oxidation in spots. This series of trucks were never made with plastic window "glass". All doors open easily and operate as they should. The toy is unique in that all the trailer wheel assemblies and tractor cab are meant to be placed inside trailers for storage. Colorful box hasgreat graphics showing the truck in front of a Rexall Drug store, and interestingly the store next door advertises quality toys! Boxshows moderate wear with a couple of punctures to lid.Insidelid has beenrepaired with correct cardboard color paper backed tape.A wonderful vintage toy truckwith it's original box being offered here with a low, low starting offer and ........as always.

I am a collector as well as a dealer, and many times have been chagrined to open a box and find a rare vintage toy broken en route. Not due to postal misuse, but bypoor and insensitivewrapping.
