Stunning Early Large Precious Metal - Diamond & Emerald Ring - Russian - 1700s For Sale
this is one of the best looking rings ive ever had, it was very difficult to photograph so the pictures dont do it any justice, viewing highly recommended, i was given a little info on the ring stating its possibly russian circa 1720, going by the size of the emerald and diamonds must have been owned by a very wealthy person, maybe even royalty, the emerald measures about 14mm by 10mm in a yellow metal setting, and its surrounded by good size rose cut diamonds, estimate 1.10ct. the ring size is a uk N or usa size 7, only mark i can find is very tiny on the outer band, cant make anything out at all, but im guessing it could be a high carat gold but as its untested im selling as precious metal, the metal around the emerald is a different colour gold to the rest of the ring more of a yellow colour where as the main band is more of a rose gold colour. the ring weighs 15.7 grams. i put it in a small ring box just to show how large it really is, the ring box is not included in the sale. surely an extremely rare ring worthy of professional cleaning and further research. it came with a genuine faberge silver turtle ive also just listed. the emerald has very tiny nibbles or fleabites on the edges along with scratches as expected, im sure all these could be polished out.
