This is for a beautiful rare Loetz glass inkwell witha lovelyart nouveau brass overlaid metal cover and very stylised copper lid.The inkwell is a very strong red and a much more unusual colour than the usual green tinted ones. It has the typical iridescent finish to it with strongpetrol colours coming through as you move itand is displayedbeautifully through the original pierced metalcover which depicts lily pads and lilies entwined with typical whiplash detail. The hingedcopper lid has a very organic shape and underneath itis marked D.R.G.M. 168180, DEP 10385.It is in absolute excellent A1condition with no cracks or chips to the glass, no splits , cracks holes or repairs to the metal coverand no dings or dents to the copper lid.The original little removable ink liner is obviously no longer with it , but they are universal. The basemeasures 69mm square and it stands 77mm.
