Description A stunning large rare English antique Victorian cast solid sterling silver chatelaine chain by the silversmith William Harrison Walter, complete with genuine antique solid silver accessories/toolsand with full English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1890. Excellent quality genuine 127 year old silver example, in lovely condition, has a beautifulcast& pierced circular silver belt platewith further smallerhingeddrop panel andhas its hinged silver belt loop/catch on the reverse. Completewith 6 decorative silver link chains of varying lengths and four havesilver swivel/dog catches. Still attached is an antique solid silver retractable silver pencil, and also a decorative all solid silver hallmarked button hook. Weighs a heavy approx 86grams.A superb chatelaine.

Measurements Large size, measures approx 8.55 inches (218mm) in length (excluding the accessories). The silver belt plate & hinged drop panel measures 5.25 inches x 2.4inches.

Date English antique 19th Century Victorian solid sterling silver, with full English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1890, (date letter \"q\"). Superb clear struck marks on both panels, the belt hook, the swivel catches and on many chain links. Approx 20 separate hallmark stamps in total.100% guaranteed antique sterling silver throughout. The silver pencil is unmarked but guaranteed antique silver and the button hook has has silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1895, (date letter \"v\") and has makers initials \"A & LLd\".Maker Silversmiths initials \"W H W\", (William Harrison Walter).ConditionLovely condition, no splits or cracks and no nasty knocks or dents, a beautiful example. The 6 cast silver link chainsare undamaged, the 2 bottom chain lengths are very slightly different in design and the 4 swivel catches are all hallmarked and work fine. The attached silver tools are also ingreatcondition, no repairs, the pencil just requires lead and the amethyst crystal stone seal end is intact.
