Photos are brighter than the item.

The history of LIMOGES Porcelain is interesting, Limoges porcelain designates hard-paste porcelain produced by factories near the city of Limoges, France beginning in the late 1700s, but does not refer to a particular manufacturer. In 1841 Haviland decided to establish his own china factory in Limoges, France, taking advantage of the rich findings of kaolin (china clay) in the area as well as of the presence of local craftsmanship due to a long tradition in china manufacturing. The high quality clay gives the porcelain its strength and pure white color, one of the reasons why Limoges porcelain is so popular up to the present day.
This is a fabulous Haviland Limoges Cup & Saucer with a unique floral pattern with gold that would make an excellent addition to your collection
