Description Awonderful qualitylarge, heavy English antique Victorian solid sterling silverjewellery or artists painting box by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company, in excellent clean condition and with a full set of English silver hallmarks forLondon 1895.Stunning genuine 120 year old all-silver box,has a hinged lid and is all-over decorated with beautiful embossed birds, flowers and scrolls. Has a heavy removable solid silver interior partitioned layer which would be used for eitherartists paintingequipment or jewellery. There are no added engraved personal inscriptions or monograms.Superbheavy box, weighs approx.428 grams.

MeasurementsGreat size, measures approx.5.1 inches (126mm)x4.1 inches (103mm) and is2.2 inches (54mm) deep.

ConditionExcellent clean condition,nosplits or cracks to the silver, no solder repairs, definitely no wear/pin holes and no nasty knocks or dents, a really superb rare example. Beautiful quality and a stunning heavy weight. The hinged silver lid works perfectly and the lid opens and closes securely. The removable interior solid silver layer is definitely original and fits perfectly. There are no added personal engraved inscriptions.
