This beautiful brooch comes from the Canadian company Butler as part of their Fifth Avenue Collection. Butler has long been synonymous with high quality costume jewelry and this brooch is no exception.
This rare brooch consists of clear, pave, faceted rhinestones that are bright and sparkling and are embellished in a gold and silver tone setting. Her face is represented with a feminine moonstone & mother-of-pearl combination bead. She\'s gracefully leaning on her parasol as her long skirt ruffles around her.
She bears the Butler cartouche on the back. This brooch is a fabulous example of the craftsmanship of the Butler company!

Costume jewelry hoarder by night

I grew up watching my grandmother and mother collect beautiful pieces of vintage costume jewelry. I loved to talk about CJ; I loved to hold CJ in my hands; and I loved the smell of CJ. After I inherited many pieces from my grandmother, I became more interested in collecting and dealing myself. Now that I have young girls, I have found an activity we can do together: going to sales, rummaging through boxes, cleaning, appraising... it has continued as a family tradition with the next generation.
