Here for your offerding pleasure is a mid to late 1960s era (my guess at the production date- I am NOT a dollar watch expert but am just using my experience with watches in general to make a guess) Westclox brand DOLLAR style pocketwatch- this is about the cleanest 50 year old “Dollar” watch that you are likely to find!! This watch does wind and set the time smoothly and the watch has run about THREE minutes SLOW over my 22+ hour timekeeping test sitting here running on my desk. That is likely the FIRST complete winding that this watch has run in many years, so that’s NOT a bad result at all. Many times these old Dollar watches need to “loosen up” with a few complete windings before you can see the best result out of them. I believe that this is about a 12 Size pocketwatch and it measures about 50.5mm diameter not including the pendant or bow. The DIAL on this one rates at least EXCELLENT and it is definitely original. The case rates VERY GOOD PLUS and is showing minimal wear throughout, not like you see with most of these Dollar watches with the chrome plating all worn off. There are a few scratches on the case back of this watch but the watch still shows far less than average wear for a 50 year old Dollar style pocketwatch- these were designed to last just a couple of years way back when!!
