Super Nice Vintage Horse Wood Carving-realistic 9.5"x7.5";halter ,standardbred? For Sale
Very nice realistic horse carving about 9.5" long to tail, and about a little over 7" tall. Several minor nicks and scrapes on the finiah, and the left ear is a little shorter than the right one, and was probably mildly chipped at one time. Still looks great on the shelf. I have had this horse for a few years, and seen one by the same carver a year or so back on that brought a pretty penny.There is .....I'm thinking that these were made in the 1930s-60s if I were to guess. They are not new. I think the wood may be Cherry. The horse may be a Standardbred.
