Super Rare 1928 "point Loma" Spice Tin, Pics Ship And Crashing Waves - Pristine For Sale
Check out this beautiful multicolored 1928 dated "POINT LOMA" spice tin! One of the most sought after of all spice tins, it’s ALL TIN LITHO – not cardboard or paper label, picturing POINT LOMA on both sides with a magnificent sunset and crashing waves! POINT LOMA is an historic lookout point above San Diego Bay and, while it has no real beaches and the swimming opportunities are poor and downright dangerous, it’s one of the best places in San Diego to meditate on waves crashing on the cliffs and explore tidepools in the rocky reefs of marine life! The tin is 2 x 3-3/4 x 9/8" with a round sifter top. To top it off, it’s in PRISTINE condition – super clean & crisp – amazing being it’s 77 years old – plus the litho is of that thin metallic-like paint so often used on these very early tins that usually didn’t stand the test of time, so vulnerable to lots of wear! Not this one! Even the thin gold paint is all intact and shiny and the thin paint on top & bottom is so clean you can see your reflection! Plus the tin smells great! It’s full and the ginger aroma is exceptionally sweet! Packed for KLAUBER WANGENHEIM CO. SAN DIEGO LOS ANGELES & EL CENTRO CALIFORNIA. A honey of a tin!
