Super rare sword !

A superb & outstanding blade & mounts !

Blade jidai (era) : Nambokucho era, 14th century ca. 1350's

Super rare very early silver Russo mounts, jidai (era) : very early Meiji period ca. 1870's

Blade is in full polish, very healthy, clean & flawless with no Kizu / flaw

Blade school : Ko-Uda ( Blade had NBTHK Hozon paper but the paper/certificate as been lost....)

Guaranty Nambokucho era & Ko-Uda school

Blade is in full polish & stored in a First class Shirasaya

Tang : 7-3/8"

Total blade length : 32-1/2"

Blade thickness at habaki notch : 6.2 mm

Width at habaki :1-1/8"+

Width at Yokote level : 13/16" Kissaki/point : 1-3/8" Sori/curve : 3/8"

Hamon/temper line :Hamon is a beautiful & very complex wide Sugu-notare-ba mix with Utsuri and superb clear activities all over-it

Hada/grain :a well forged fine big Itame mix with some superb & very clear activities

Kissaki/point : strong sharp & crisp with a big Boshi/turn-backon both side

Blade condition: in full polish, very healthy & very clean

with no Kizu/flaw, no crack/hagire, no chip, no bend, no blister, very healthy & beautiful very attractive blade !

Mounts are A Very rare & very early silver Russo Mounts

early Meiji period ca. 1870's

The whole mounts are original to the blade from A to Z

Nothing missing at all, all complete in suite & perfectly matching

Very healthy, tight, very clean solid & sound !

The mounts are thigh together with a wooden Tsunagi (wood-blade)

just showing some very minor & very light normal wear from age with a nice patina
