This is a superb Villeroy & Bochmajolica plate with the butterfly or moth decoration with the oak leaves ofwhich:

During our research we have been informed it certainly dates from the art nouveau period of the 19th century.

Dates about c1890s.

Underneath: an incised Villeroy & Boch logo.

Of a German with centrally:

the large butterfly or moth with the raised central body.

Other decoration around the circumference of the oak leaves.

It has an overall height of about 0.75inches.

It has an overall max dia of about 7.25inches.

Base dia of about 4.5inches.

Condition: Considering the age, the overall condition is excellent and is not subject to:

any major blemishes.

Besides being a very collectable, Villeroy & Boch majolica plate with the butterfly or moth decoration centrally & oak leaves & other decoration, from the art nouveau decoration of the 19th century, c1890s, would also look fabulous displayed.
