SUPERB ANTIQUE ART DECO GRADUATED HONEY AMBER STYLE BAKELITE BEAD NECKLACE, 61g:

Description:

An antique Art Deco period Bakelite bead necklace, of 35 honey amber stylegraduatedoval beads with brass sprung clasp.Each bead has a solid deep orange colour.

The necklace has been historically restrung on brown silk, utilising the original brass clasp. The beads have been cleaned and tested using Simichrome polish on a cotton tip producing a light yellow stain (please see gallery image 12), confirming Bakelite or other early polymeric plastic. As expected, there are no visible seams or casting fronts.

Condition:

In very good condition, with replacement stringing and a couple of age related small chips (confirming the solid colour) and wear to the ends of some of the beads.Please see the images provided which complement this description.
