SUPERB ANTIQUE OAK, SILVER PLATE , BRASS & COW HORN GONG ON STAND WITH DRUMSTICK:

This is a lovely antique gong on stand suspended from a matching pair of cow horns which have silver plated mounts and attachments. The base is in a lovely oak which has a very attractive patina. On two silver platedholders at the front there is an oak drumstick to hit the gong . Originally the head was covered in soft leather but this has worn over time [ see photos ].The whole piecestands just under 12 inches tall. It is 13 inches wide and 6 inches deep. It has a silver plated shield on the base that has not been engraved. The actual brass gong has a pattern on it and a name engraved at the top - \"Burmese\". This is a fabulous original item and would stunning in a period hallway or on a dining room sideboard. Free from any damage.
