Perfect for A Lover of Butterflies! Would make a GORGEOUS GIFT!

A spectacular antique Victorian finesterling silver filigree butterfly brooch. The quality is very fine, with wonderful intricate detail. The butterfly is \'built\' onto a silver frame - it really is a substantial piece. The brooch is not stamped for silver, but this is not uncommon for a piece of this age. It has been professionally tested as Sterling Silver and is of a higher grade than 925. A good indication of this is that it hasn\'t tarnished - it is still lovely and shiny and I haven\'t polished it. The brooch fastens with a simple C catch on the reverse.

These filigree butterfly brooches have remained very popular throughout the ages, and it\'s no wonder as they are such timeless classics. I have never seen one quite as big, or as spectacular, as this before, also this one is also older than most.
