A superb early 19thc - c.1820 - Staffordshirefigure of a huntsman with his dog.

A superb and a rare earlypiece which has excellent attention to detail. The huntsman has wonderful detail to face: combed hairand dotted nostrils and pink cheeks. He has his rifle and two hunting horns. He wears a gilt trimmed costume and his hat has three fineorange feathers decorating. The dog is brown and white with open legs. A dead bird lays at huntsman's feet. Hollow base.

Height some 7.5".

Thisearly figureis inexcellent and age commensurate condition.There is a fine age crack to top of huntsman's hat and the tip of end of one horn is broken. Nothing significant. All as perimages.

A superb19th century staffordshirehuntsman with dog figure dating c.1820 whichis very collectable.A fine addition to any Staffordshire collection.
