Description Asuperb large heavy Englishantiquelate Victorian solid sterling silver "pint" tankard bythe silversmith Thomas Hayes, in excellent condition and with full English silver hallmarks for London 1901.Superb quality silver tankard, wonderful scarce 18th Century shape, with large scrolled handle and with an attractive heart cartouche end finial. Has a deceptive circular flared base, the tankard is pint-sized but holds less than one pint due to the deceptive bottom, (approx. 7/8 of one pint).No added engraved inscriptions or monograms, weighs a heavy322 grams.Measurements Great size, measures approx5.2 inches (132mm) in height, and is3.95 inches (100mm) in diameter across the base, (excluding handle). Date Englishantique late Victorian solid sterling silver with a full set of English silver hallmarks for London 1901(date letter "f").Nicely marked. MakerSilversmiths initials "T.H", (Thomas Hayes). ConditionExcellentcondition and ready to be used.
