Description A beautiful large matching pair of English vintagesolid sterling silver candlesticks by the silversmiths Carr`s of Sheffield, in pristine condition and with full silver hallmarks for Sheffield 1997.Superbquality pair, (very costly to buy new),handsome classicGeorgian design, with circular stepped bases and with attractive shaped columns and integral silversconces. Weighted bases and withoriginal greenbaize covering on the undersides. Importantly with no engraved presentation inscriptions or monograms.
Weight Heavyapprox 590 grams, (including base weighting), made from a good gauge of sterlingsilver.
Measurements Handsome large size, they measure approx 7 inches (175mm) inches in height and are 3.75 inches (95mm) in diameter.
Date English vintage solid sterling silver with a full set of silver hallmarks for Sheffield 1997(date letter "X"). Includes the lion passant sterling silver mark.Excellent clearstruck matching hallmarks on both sticks
Maker Silversmiths initials "RC", (Carrs of Sheffield).
Condition Superb cleancondition and honestly look hardly used at all. No splits or cracks, no solder repairs, definitely no wear/pin holes and no knocks, dents or bruises, a really stunning pair. With no engraved inscriptions.
