Superb Near Mint Porcelain Advertising Thermometer Sign Dated 1915 For Sale
Original vintage Porcelain on tin advertising thermometer in NEAR MINT condition. This early porcelain advertising thermometer measures seven and a quarter inches wide and twenty seven inches high. WIth colorful grahics, the piece advertises Carter White Lead all weather paint. A patent date is referenced on the piece as Pat. March 16, 1915 Beach, Cochocton Ohio. The Beach company was an early lithographer who produced advertising signs on a variety of materials and was known for producing high quality visually appealing items. There are a couple of chips on the piece including where the hole at the top is and one on the upper left edge of the piece. Other than that the thermometer looks nearly perfect. Overall we conservatively grade this piece a 9 on a scale of ten or near mint. For anyone who collects high quality premium condition early advertising, the thermometer would be a great addition to their collection. Buyer to pay $30 for shipping and handling.
