Decorative Repoussé Plates

This is a superb rare pair of antique French wall hanging decorative plates.
Dating to the latter part of the nineteenth century.
Made from repoussé brass with delightful decorated
ceramic plates in the centre of each.
Looking very old and full of French history.

Simply delicious French treasures from thebrocante-de-france!

Condition:

In good used antique condition with a patina of time.

Looking very old some slight distortion to the metalwork due to the passage of time.

I have not cleaned them.

One of the plates has a few tiny holes in the repoussé, only noticed when held up to the window.

One of the plates has some distortion along one edge (final photos).

One of the plates has had part of its hanging hook replaced over time (final photo)
